A Thousand Words

Posted on Oct 14, 2010 in Blog

I recently was looking through old baby albums and took a few pictures of the albums with my cell phone, so please forgive the quality of the photos.  I stumbled on this gem and it’s just too good not to share.

There is just so much going on in this photo.  Let’s start with my two brothers, both wearing very short swim trunks, playing on a slip-and-slide (awesome!) with a wiffle bat close by.  There’s so much 80′s goodness, I can barely contain myself.  Then there’s me… topless on a tractor… and I have “pig snorts” (this is what my brother used to call pigtails) in my hair.  The best part is my mischievous grin as I’m apparently gunning for my unsuspecting brothers with the tractor.

I can’t believe this picture exists!

An Afternoon at Great Falls

This weekend has been deceivingly warm for October, which is perfect for enjoying the beginning of fall foliage in “Indian Summer” weather.  My mom and I decided to take advantage of a day off work and enjoy a walk around Great Falls National Park with Carolina.

Carolina had a great time and leapt right up on the ledge to look at the waterfalls.

And by the end of the walk, she was worn out and preferred to flop on the ground while Mom and I watched some kayakers going over the falls.

I have an annual pass to Great Falls, so if anyone wants to come visit and go for a walk around the park, just say the word!
